is a professional aerospace engineer with a wide range of skills spanning multiple technical, economic, business, and international marketing disciplines, with flexibility to manage
diverse projects across business functions. Mr. Hartmann possesses over 20 years' experience in marketing de Havilland® turboprop aircraft and Canadair® regional jets in Europe, Africa, Asia and Australasia/South Pacific. His responsibilities with de Havilland® - and later Boeing Canada and
Bombardier Aerospace - included marketing-driven product development; comprehensive evaluations of aircraft technical, performance and operational parameters (including all competitor aircraft); and
detailed market research to determine customer needs and trends. His insightful analytical skills have been used in airline fleet planning; aircraft performance and
economic analyses; passenger traffic forecasts; reviews and development of airlines' business plans; details reviews of airlines' operations, competitive intelligence, etc. The demands of
marketing and customer support needs took Mr. Hartmann to numerous countries all over the world on visits to airlines for discussions and analysis of client's needs, presentations of
marketing studies, product briefings and aircraft demonstrations. Prior to joining de Haviland's marketing team, Mr. Hartmann's experience included structural design work for Field Aviation
(aircraft modifications), Canadair (CL-600 Challenger design), and Hawker de Havilland in Australia (aircraft modifications).
Mr. Hartmann has also a very extensive experience in electronics, computer hardware and software development. He succesfully developed the RoadWarrior
software, automated route mapping software, Boeing Canada's first menu-driven aircraft performance program interface, and an Aircraft Marketing e-Handbook. Languages and Other Interests
Besides English and Czech, Mr. Hartmann also studied Russian and Spanish languages for a number of years. Some of his other interests have included recreational flying (PPL and
gliding), parachuting (5 jumps), boating, computers, and world-wide travel. |
