Escuela Industrial N° 1 "Otto Krause", Buenos Aires, Argentina Technician Diploma (6 yrs) in mechanical engineering
Experience Summary
Mr. Martello is a professional engineer with significant experience in several areas of the aerospace industry - airlines (flight engineer and management positions with Aerolineas
Argentinas and LAPA), aircraft manufacturers (Bombardier/de Havilland), and regulatory authorities (D.O.T. Airworthiness compliance programs).
Mr. Martello's most recent involvement prior to joining XdH Inc. has been in Service Account Management department of Bombardier Aerospace in support of repair, maintenance and delivery of new and used aircraft:
Technical Customer Service -
- Removed potential obstacles for the "Entry Into Service Plan" (EISP) through the development, implementation and follow up of detailed operating processes. This
eliminated delay of scheduled service for the customer and penalties related to warranty claims.
Marketing -
- Identified and developed Business Plan for Domestic Airline (Start up or Turn key operation). As a result, Southern Winds became the first airline to operate regional jets
(CRJ-200) in Latin America (Argentina). This supported the delivery of US $100 million worth of equipment to the airline in three years.
Translations of Aviation Documents - Spanish to/from English
- Translated numerous aircraft and aviation documents utilizing his knowledge of aeronautical terminology in both languages
- Assisted teams of pilots and mechanics from Latin American countries enrolled in English-languge aircraft training courses in Canada
Consultant -
- Developed Inspection Procedures Manual in compliance with FAR. This supported three small entities (Overhaul/Repair Stations) approved by FAA in Argentina.
- Instrumental in reducing overhaul costs and engine repair though a life development program for PT6 engines. Implementation of computerized Trend Monitoring System
for step increases of TBO from the basic 4500 HR to 6500 HR and above.
Maintenance Planning -
- Developed, implemented and managed the Maintenance Organization and Maintenance Plan for a start up domestic airline in Argentina. Achieved annual
utilization of 1500 BH per aircraft in four years for two SD3-30.
Performance -
- Developed an AFM Supplement for required operations outside the Standard Operating Envelope. This allowed the airline to operate the aircraft earlier than
expected (aircraft manufacturer's support took 1 year to complete)
